What happened. GovSpend launched an MCP server that lets customers query its public-sector procurement intelligence from compatible AI tools and internal agent workflows.
What it actually means. Procurement data products used to compete on the dashboard. Now the dashboard is optional. The valuable product is a governed data service that can show up inside the work where an account is being assessed, a bid is being shaped or a risk is being investigated. That shifts the buying question from "what can users search?" to "what can our systems safely know and do?"
