Airbase's current website points readers to Paylocity for Finance. The relevant procurement story is how requests, approvals, supplier information and invoices connect to accounting. That is more useful to assess than treating the word autonomous as a verdict on the whole process.

What is Airbase now? Airbase identifies itself as a Paylocity company and directs new readers to Paylocity for Finance. Existing Airbase login links remain on its website. This assessment covers the current Guided Procurement, AP and related supplier/accounting capabilities, rather than Paylocity's entire HR and finance portfolio. Airbase, Current finance offer.

What work does it support? Collecting purchase requests, routing approvals, onboarding suppliers, processing invoices and connecting spend to financial records. WOP classifies this scope as procure-to-pay, primarily workflow/control, with record and execution roles overlapping.

What does Guided Procurement do? A single intake gathers the information different stakeholders need, then routes their approvals. The site describes configurable workflows, questionnaires, document extraction and visibility of approval delays. Guided Procurement.

What does AP automation cover? Invoice capture, coding, approvals, two-way and three-way matching, payments and ERP reconciliation. Paylocity describes a combination of rules, OCR and generative AI. It advertises payment coverage across 200-plus countries and 145-plus currencies; that does not establish availability for every customer, method or jurisdiction. AP Automation.

What customer data is available? A Fundbox case dated 6 March 2020 reports saving one to two days a month chasing receipts and approximately five hours a month preparing reports and syncing NetSuite. The page explicitly says it predates Paylocity's acquisition of Airbase. These are historical customer-reported results, not a measurement of today's AI. Fundbox case.

What controls are described? Configurable approval of supplier bank-account changes, two-factor authentication for changes through the vendor portal, and notifications of suspicious transactions.
