Arkestro puts a suggested offer at the start of a sourcing event and automates supplier feedback across rounds. Its usefulness depends on whether the pricing evidence and event assumptions are good enough to support the commercial decision.
Vendor at a glance
What is Arkestro? A predictive procurement software provider. This assessment focuses on Predictive Sourcing: suggested prices, supplier engagement and award-scenario analysis. The wider Continuous Procurement offer is outside the verdict. Platform overview.
What work does it support? Its current sourcing page describes line-item pricing based on baselines and quote history, automatic counteroffers, supplier recommendations and weighted award scenarios. These are vendor-described capabilities, rather than a live event WOP has tested. Predictive Sourcing.
Where does it sit? WOP classifies the assessed product as strategic sourcing, primarily intelligence, with execution and workflow/control as overlapping roles. The analysis supports the award decision; the advertised automation also communicates with suppliers.
Who decides? Arkestro's procurement-leader page says buyers sign off on outcomes while negotiation rounds run autonomously. The public description does not establish a customer's enforced approval thresholds or purchasing authority. Buyer control.
How does it connect? The current integration page labels REST APIs and webhooks available today, while native Model Context Protocol, or MCP, connectivity is coming soon. It says first events can run from a spend file while integrations proceed. Supported connectors and versions still require technical scoping. Integrations.
What evidence is available? Arkestro advertises 18.8% average savings and 60% faster cycle times, without a calculation method or matched customer sample on the reviewed leader page. A named Koch Engineered Solutions case, published 4 September 2025, describes retaining a preferred stainless-steel supplier on improved terms and exceeding a savings target five months early. It does not disclose the savings amount or comparable baseline. Headline figures, KES case.
What are the material limits? Pricing-model accuracy, commercial comparability, live approval enforcement, integration recovery, entitlements and public pricing are unverified here. The advertised portal-free supplier process has not been observed in a live event. A predicted price should not be treated as proof of the lowest achievable cost or a completed financial saving.
