Say welcome to the 74 new Procurement Legends who have joined our community. Please look out for an email on Sunday where you can all introduce yourself.

This week is weird as I have the 3 Peaks challenge next week. This means I will reach the summit and get back down on each of the UK's tallest mountains within 24 hours. So I’m still training, nursing a slight injury, and trying to get ready for this. It should be good fun, and I’m psyched to try out another endurance challenge.

If any of you can spare even a £1/$1, we’re raising money for SOS Children’s Villages Charity, which is literally changing the lives of children and families worldwide.

So what’s on my mind this week?

I had a lot of positive feedback for this article;

We, in Procurement, can act as guardians of the well-being of so many people, but the ever-increasing politicisation of ESG as a concept could bring down a lot of good progress in that area.

Additionally, it turns out a lot of you are interested in Tesla and Elon’s approach to Supply Chain.

I’ll be putting together some video content around Tesla’s supply chain and more content on Elon’s approach to Supply Chain throughout the rest of this year.

I’m currently researching AI in Procurement Tech for the State of Procurement Tech piece for August. This article I came across earlier this year shows where negotiations are heading.

Ken Adams is one of the go to people when it comes to contracting. He’s actually created this incredible book here, which I recommend each of your Procurement teams/contract teams pick up and share as a resource to navigate contract complexities. I used the 4th edition in my previous role.
