What is ConvergentIS Rio? ConvergentIS provides Rio and related procurement applications for SAP. This assessment covers intake, requisitioning and the connection to SAP transaction processing. The current website describes workflows ending with posted documents in S/4HANA, while its Procurement Gateway page covers ECC, S/4, BTP and Ariba. Where does it sit? WOP classifies procure-to-pay as the primary job and workflow/control as the primary role, with execution and intelligence overlaps. The product coordinates requests and approvals and describes SAP posting; SAP remains the authoritative transaction record in the assessed proposition.
What work does it support? The requisitioning page describes guided request creation, routing under configured business rules and approval-status visibility. The wider SAP product includes supplier collaboration, service-entry review and invoice processing. These are related modules, rather than proof that every customer uses all capabilities. What customer figures are published? A Halton Region case reports a rollout to 500 staff and requisition approval time falling from 27 days to 3–5 days, with a headline 85% reduction. A Straumann case reports 32% more individual requisitioners after Simplified Requisitioning.
