Definic: vendor at a glance and WOP member assessment

What is Definic? Definic is vendor-intelligence and procurement software for external IT services and software-development projects. Its rebrand announcement confirms that Nordics became Definic. The published terms identify the Slovak company IO s. r. o. as the platform operator.

What it does. Definic's solution combines requirements and RFP preparation, vendor matching, benchmarking, relationship management and a marketplace. This assessment concerns procuring delivery teams and services, rather than a general software-subscription buying tool.

Useful published figures. The homepage states more than €70 million in processed tenders, 92% of clients reporting faster vendor selection and 87% reporting greater delivery control after three months. It does not provide the samples, measurement periods or comparison baselines. Tender volume and survey responses are different from verified project success or realised savings.

Where AI fits. The Assessment module describes assisted requirements preparation. The Intelligence module describes matching against thousands of case studies through Metch.ai, offered within Definic or through an API. WOP has not inspected the dataset or tested the matches.

Commercial access. The site advertises a 30-day free trial through an introductory booking. Its vendor page says vendors pay no listing fees or commissions; its marketplace page describes buying access to matched vendors. Those statements concern different sides of the service. Numerical buyer prices are not provided in the reviewed pages. The homepage's improvement/refund promise also needs to be read alongside the actual commercial agreement.
