Dexter: vendor at a glance and WOP member assessment

What is Dexter? Dexter is invoice-led spend intelligence for procurement teams dealing with several systems and entities. Its Y Combinator profile describes analysis of invoices and contracts; the imprint identifies Dexter Technologies GmbH in Berlin.

What it does. The current product page describes item-level extraction, spend classification, contract comparison and consolidation opportunities. It advertises a two-week go-live without requiring an ERP integration. That is a provider proposition, not a guarantee that data collection, access controls or validation require no work.

Useful technical evidence. A July 2026 engineering article discusses a framework agreement containing more than 40 tables, including one with around 2,000 price rows. It describes using OCR and generated transformation code to process large tables. This is published implementation detail; WOP has not observed the run or verified extraction accuracy.

Customer evidence and its scope. The homepage publishes a statement from Catarina Borges at Glovo about an AI-OCR tool, and Sören Giesecke at Dekarbo about scaling operations without adding headcount. These are attributable, vendor-published statements. They do not establish independently measured savings or the accuracy of the current spend-intelligence product.

Access and research basis. Reviewed pages offer a demo without numerical subscription prices. Public sources reviewed on 11 October 2026, including engineering material and documentation. WOP has not used Dexter. The website privacy notice does not establish a particular customer's complete product-data processing arrangements.

Members receive the assessment against all eight WOP criteria, including item comparability, contract leakage, classification controls and the distinction between finding an opportunity and realising its value.
