TL;DR

Elevatry has announced €3m in pre-seed funding for a platform aimed at strategic procurement. For category teams short on analytical capacity, the useful test is whether its proposals improve a real decision after the checking work is counted.

What happened.

The Munich-based company announced the round on 15 October, with Bayern Kapital, H&Z and business angels participating. It says the platform went live on 28 September. Its named Companions include Category Strategist, Negotiation Coach and Risk & Integrity Manager. Elevatry describes research, analysis and scenario work that prepares proposals for teams to decide on. These are vendor descriptions of capability, not independently verified customer outcomes.

What it actually means.

A category strategy can look complete while resting on an assumption nobody has checked. The incumbent may be difficult to replace. The apparent alternative supplier may lack capacity. A forecast saving may disappear once transition costs are included.

For the research and proposal work Elevatry describes, I would start with a tightly scoped advisory pilot. Choose one category with a real decision due, provide the evidence your team would normally use and ask for a proposal with explicit assumptions and sources. In this pilot, the category team reviews the recommendation through its existing approval route. Test whether the product performs the research and analysis it claims, and record where its output needs correcting.

Then change one important input. Remove a supplier from consideration or shorten the implementation window. Does the recommendation change for a reason you can trace? Does it flag missing evidence, or fill the gap with a confident answer?

Measure the time from brief to an approved decision, including corrections and validation. Count proposals the team can act on, not just documents produced. Savings should enter the assessment only when the relevant commercial action has happened and the baseline is defensible.

The funding gives Elevatry room to develop the product. It does not settle those questions. The company's announcement says customer impact is now to be proved, which is the right place to keep the evaluation.

What to watch.

Over the next three to six months, watch for customer evidence that separates faster preparation from better adopted decisions, with review effort and realised results made visible.

FAQs

Was the platform launched on 15 October?

No. That is the funding announcement date. Elevatry reports that the platform went live on 28 September 2026.

What would make a first pilot useful?

Use a bounded category with an identifiable decision owner and a decision due. Agree the evidence standard and acceptance criteria before generating recommendations, then record the checking work as well as preparation time.

Can a team treat projected savings as a delivered result?

No. Keep a suggested opportunity separate from an approved action and a realised financial outcome. Record assumptions, implementation costs and the baseline so finance can assess any eventual benefit.
