GEP's current purchasing offer is marketed through Quantum Intelligence. Its older GEP SMART customer results remain useful evidence, but they do not establish what the newer agents contributed.

Vendor at a glance

What is GEP? GEP supplies procurement software, consulting and managed services. This assessment focuses on its current Quantum Intelligence procure-to-pay offer and the platform controls relevant to that work. It does not assess every sourcing, contracting or supply-chain module.

What work does the software support? Its current P2P page describes request capture, guided buying, automatic purchase-order creation and tracking, invoice matching, budget checks, receiving and payment workflows. These are advertised capabilities rather than transactions WOP has tested. Current P2P product.

Where does it sit? WOP classifies the assessed product as procure-to-pay, primarily workflow and control, with execution and intelligence as overlapping roles. Its agents are described as acting across connected enterprise systems, so the role is broader than a purchasing-information chatbot.

How are agents configured? Quantum Intelligence Studio is described as a builder for custom agent workflows, tool connections and governance policies. GEP says central policies apply to all agents. Its integration page describes Model Context Protocol, or MCP, as the connection mechanism. These descriptions do not establish the permissions or exception handling in a particular deployment. Studio, integration.

What customer data is available? An anonymous GEP SMART manufacturer summary reports 98% of spend under purchase orders and 96% user adoption. Separately, a named Signify testimonial says 40% of daily activities were automated. The sources do not establish a shared measurement basis, typical customer result or incremental Quantum Intelligence effect. Manufacturer summary, Signify testimonial.

What are the material limits? The reviewed pages do not establish individual agent release versions, package entitlements, public pricing, transaction-level write permissions or recovery after a failed action. Software outcomes also need to be separated from work delivered through GEP's transaction-management services. The assessment uses the public manufacturer summary, not its underlying full case report.

GEP also advertises 60–70% shorter deployment time for new source-to-pay connections. Its public integration page does not establish a matched project sample or a basis for estimating a customer's full implementation.

Research basis: public-source desk research, 11 October 2026. No hands-on test, observed demo or independent customer-outcome validation. The public architecture description also informs the assessment.
