JAGGAER combines controlled purchasing with AI assistance. The purchasing controls are easier to pin down than the performance claims for its newer AI assistant.

Vendor at a glance

What is JAGGAER? JAGGAER is a source-to-pay software provider. This assessment covers eProcurement and the JAI assistance used around purchasing. It does not assess every sourcing, supplier, contracting or payment module.

What work does it support? Employees can buy through catalogues, raise other requests, obtain approvals and move requisitions into purchase orders. Its public product description includes approval routing by value, commodity, business unit and cost centre, plus budget commitment at the requisition stage. JAGGAER eProcurement.

What is the AI offer? JAI launched as an assistant on 5 May 2026. The current product page describes policy and process answers in Chat, and analysis of procurement data through Deep Research. It states that access follows the user's permissions and that a human remains accountable. These are published product descriptions, not controls we have tested. Launch announcement, JAI product page.

Where does it sit? WOP classifies the assessed product primarily as purchasing workflow and control, with intelligence and execution as overlapping roles. It sits inside the purchasing process rather than simply producing an external supplier research report.

What customer evidence is available? JAGGAER's Hologic account reports $1.5 million in first-year savings and a 55% reduction in purchasing-card use. The account describes a wider procurement change; it does not establish an incremental result from today's JAI. Hologic customer account.

What remains unknown? The public sources do not establish a representative implementation time, current package price or how reliably the controls work in a particular customer's configuration. They also do not provide a common measurement basis for the different JAI support-ticket reduction figures discussed below.

A material limit on the AI results: the current JAI page uses 75%, the launch announcement forecasts 50% in year one, and a separate infographic reports 10–15% in early access. They cannot be combined into a typical result or an improvement trend. JAI, launch, infographic.

Research basis: public-source desk research, 11 October 2026. No hands-on test, observed demo or independent customer-outcome validation. The public product brief also informs the assessment below.

Members receive the assessment of purchasing control, AI authority, operational dependencies and the outcome evidence against all eight WOP criteria.
