Sievo combines spend analytics with managed data work. The procurement value is a consistent view of what the business buys, who it buys from and where an opportunity deserves attention. That is the start of a decision, rather than proof that a saving has been delivered.

Vendor at a glance

What is Sievo? Procurement analytics software with associated data and implementation services. This assessment covers Spend Analytics, cleansing and categorisation, supplier grouping, Community Data and the associated AI offer. It does not assess every sustainability, budgeting or initiative-management product. Spend Analytics, Data services.

What work does it support? Combining purchasing data from multiple sources, classifying it, grouping suppliers, explaining spend and identifying opportunities. WOP classifies the assessed scope as spend analytics, primarily intelligence, with record and workflow/control as overlapping roles.

What quality figures are advertised? Sievo's homepage states 98%-plus classification coverage and 94%-plus classification accuracy guarantees. These are separate measures. The public figures do not, by themselves, establish the contractual denominator, taxonomy depth or measured result for a particular dataset. Current guarantee figures.

How is the data maintained? Sievo describes AI combined with data experts, classification explanations and approved reclassification requests going live the next day. Its Spend Analytics FAQ describes weekly or monthly refreshes. A prompt answer can therefore be based on periodically refreshed data. Classification and correction, Refresh schedule.

What customer data is available? The vendor-published Opella case reports nine data sources, weekly refreshes, a four-month deployment, 87% PO coverage and 43% lower maverick spend within one year. The maverick-spend figure is not a 43% reduction in purchase costs. A separate Hero case reports a first-year savings-opportunity pipeline exceeding 5% of total spend, which is not the same as realised savings. Opella case, Hero case.

What is available versus planned? Community Data describes anonymised, aggregated transaction benchmarks. Its supplier-discovery section is explicitly labelled coming soon. The current AI offer includes insights, a conversational analytics assistant and actions initiated by a button. Community Data and roadmap boundary, AI offer.
