Hey Procurement Legend,

I have quite the roundup this week mainly from events I’ve attended.

Firstly, on 14 November I headed into London to host a dinner with colleagues and procurement professionals. We welcomed 27 attendees representing 15 organisations.

It was incredible.

Good conversations.

Good vibes.

And an incredible award for the one and only Alison McQuaker where she was at long last, awarded the Global #1 Power User award.

That’s a big deal.

So congrats once again Alison!

I enjoyed attending Kavida.ai 40U40 Class of 2024 Dinner at Carousel in London this week.

I know the team at Kavida well. They’re genuinely making an incredible product that anyone in Procurement, Finance, and Risk within a Manufacturing company (and wider) would certainly benefit from.

There were two incredible panels (I might be biased as I joined on one of these), a wonderful intro by Anam, and a Digital Catapult breakdown (it’s always good to hear positive stories from Government agencies).

I’m big on community.

I’m big on highlighting younger Procurement Pros' progress in the profession. So much in procurement has changed. What made you a great CPO or Procurement leader 10 years ago is no longer as relevant. The strides this cohort have made are phenomenal.

You may have seen Mr Mist Moll get on his high horse about this event. It completely overlooked the 600+ nominees and selection process that happened - not to mention downplayed the value of brining together young procurement pros.

See you soon, Friend!
