What happened. Pactum says its Requisition Alignment Agent has completed one million checks since launching in March 2026. It evaluates requisitions against policy, approved suppliers, contracts, pricing and data requirements before purchase orders are created.
What it actually means. Scale matters more than another feature launch. The milestone suggests structured review is becoming a production workload for agents, not a demonstration. But volume alone does not prove control quality. Procurement still needs to know which checks passed, failed, were corrected or escalated.
What to watch. Independent evidence on exception rates, false approvals, human overrides and how much time procurement teams still spend investigating edge cases as deployment volume grows.
