The Wire is wop.'s short-take format. One story, the wop. read on what it means, and one signal to watch. The original announcement is linked below.

What happened. Workday announced on 13 October that Sana would bring more actions into Claude, Gemini Enterprise, Copilot, Teams and Slack, with Claude Cowork in early access and broader capabilities planned for late 2026.

What it actually means. The colleague asking for something does not care which enterprise system owns the next step. Procurement should care whether the request keeps its identity, policy checks and approval history as it moves between tools, because removing a portal does not remove accountability. Workday's announcement concerns HR, finance and IT rather than a new procurement suite, but it raises the standard for how easily employees should be able to start and complete business requests.

What to watch. Whether the late-2026 rollout demonstrates completed cross-tool actions with consistent permissions, rather than another conversational layer that sends people back to a queue.
